Dona Nobis Pacem

We don’t know whom we are pleading to

Sed obsecro miserere ( Please have mercy ),

Dona Nobis Pacem, Dona Nobis Pacem;

For we have witnessed endless war,

And the spear of distrust has pierced in too far

Nunc Dona Nobis Pacem;

For blood taints streams,

And are sully our dreams;

Doesn’t matter how hard I lave ,

The color of gore is yet too grave;

Blood won’t scour off these hands ,

innocence of spirit has lost its stand,

Placet Dona Nobis Pacem,

Dona Nobis Pacem;

Let the hateful fires duce,

Spread around the sound of truce;

Let the silent tears wash of the gory clay,

For all the souls we lost at bay

Miserere Dona Nobis Pacem,

Dona Nobis Pacem.
